Sex workers organized to evaluate Ordinance 4030/09 of the Municipality of Cochabamba and request amendments due to legal and technical loopholes.

They requested their participation in the development of a new city ordinance in order to incorporate needs and labor demands to owners of premises who have a specific alliance to prevent the closure and/or removal thereof.

After several meetings, a commission with representatives from different sectors involved as owners and workers –Departmental President Eva Flores participated by ONAEM– to evaluate and closure them definitively. Those involved say there is pressure from the public safety of neighborhood and so the sector is on constant alert to prevent the transfer of premises to suburban area
